Amnestic
("Amnestic," is a murder-mystery/poem, your job is to figure out who the victim and the killer is, and no, you can't guess or assume, you HAVE to prove your answer. I performed this poem yesterday (Sunday, 26.05.2024), and so far people haven't had much luck figuring it out. I promised a KitKat to those that solved it, that offer has since expired but I still think I can be persuaded. Here's hoping you'll have better luck.
Oh and there's a small little side quest, but I doubt you'll get there.
I'll end with the one and only clue everyone gets: Pay special attention to the first four lines of the poem, but if you don't pay attention to the rest of the poem, you won't know why you should pay special attention to the first four.)
Killed the whistleblower's brain, was jubilant
Interrogated by puzzles, poet not solver, maimed hero,
Dearest, run, go.
Dead and stabbed, name of the poet reveals reader.
I weave this tale, hungry for life
Don't think that you know me, lest your fingers to go numb,
Never trust yourself, your lover, or your rum
Open your eyes, is the body in the chateau?
Tell me, was it you that cut her open?
Trickling blood from the table edge leaks
Hits the floor made from a pinewood tree
It makes a sound, so fragile, so light,
No one could mistake it for an oakwood sonata
Kissed she was, by none other than her fiend.
I know whom to blame, those ventricles made her a fool
That serves her right, she was stabbed there too,
If her ghost ever wakes again, let Brahms play on the cello,
So she might find peace, or find the killer's whiff.
Tell me do you know who she might be?
Hunted and Haunted, she lets no one in the door
I can tell you who she is, but what will that achieve?
So close the answer is, hidden under a sheath.
End my chaos, end my pain, let this story end
Answers are what I seek, answer my question
Search for the prey, the predator, the alibi,
You can find it, (perhaps, in the forest) at the bottom of a cliff.
