find me in the times we lost

There is this wildflower, in front of me

It makes me think of us during a summer night,

waiting for you to call

from the most beautiful place on Earth.

Those silver clouds remind me of you,

that day near the shore, when I saw the blue sky encompass me.

Perhaps our love was like that,

Invisible and all there was.

The wind gushed past me a while ago,

Reckless and sharp,

do you really have nothing to lose?

I can run in this distance between us,

but I cannot run into your arms anymore.

Last night we were together at the temple by the sea,

I'd been there once before,

when rain poured down in the dusk light

They were simpler times,

when I just loved you.

If we were happier then,

why did yesterday feel infinite?

As those stars fill the night again,

And we can no longer sing "Faint Love,"

I think to myself, if I miss you too much,

will I forget what we've done to each other?

Accompanied by a cursed-looking butterfly,

this evening makes me wonder,

in all of its quiet, in this echo,

if I die tomorrow, will you mourn me as a lover?
