I See A Star
I see a star, mother
For the first time so near
Wasn't but a point and distant
An annihilation of fear.
I see a star, brother
Once again, as bright
She glimmers of winter frost
We are in mercy, of fright.
I see a star, sweetheart
Amongst giants of her own
A forgotten love of mine
I see not in glorious terror, alone.
I see a star, madam
A desire to fulfill a quest
I have come closer than ever
In delicate gravity, my pounding chest.
I see a star, son
Smaller than many years ago
Blaze unlike our feeble candles
Consuming the cosmos, she goes.
I see a star
Close enough to touch
I am no longer blinded in awe
To live forever, nothing greater as such.
